HOW DO WE MAKE A WEB FILM

STAGE ONE - CONCEPT MEETING
One of our executive producers – Jay Hunt or Simon London meets with you to discuss:
• your web film brief
• the online video format - do you want a video podcast, a web film, a corporate video or a cost effective company video you can use for everything?
• your ideas for media video – you know your business inside out so tell us what you have in mind for your web film, video podcast or corporate video
• your message – what do you want to get across and how?
• the location options – do you have somewhere you want to shoot your web film or do you want some location ideas and inspiration?
• your timing issues – how quickly do you want your web film delivered?
• your target audience – is this an in house web film, or highlights for a corporate video or new material for a podcast you want new clients to download?
• the length and amount of web films you require?
• Do you want a longer version of your web film or video podcast on DVD or mpeg for presentations and conferences etc?
We then provide you with a detailed production budget and, when agreed, we set up your shoot.
STAGE TWO - PRE-PRODUCTION
• We recce (check out) locations for you so there are no surprises on the day we film your web film
• We deliver you a detailed shooting script and a detailed call sheet for your web film shoot
• We produce and distribute a detailed running order of your web film shoot filming day/s
• We organise the web film shoot permissions if needed
• We staff up the web film shoot and liaise with presenters if necessary
• We ensure all the resources - including necessary cameras, sound, lighting equipment, stock and autocue - are ready for your web film shoot
Depending on the size and complexity of your web film shoot, your film crew can range from a producer, director, cameraman, soundman, runner and make-up artist, to a single director filming unobtrusively with a handheld Sony Z7.
A full web film shoot day is 10 hours
Half-day web film shoot day is 5 hours
EDITING YOUR WEB FILM
We edit your web film in London in multi-format digital linear suites that are equipped to handle everything from basic titles to a full broadcast edit, enabling us to offer efficient and versatile online editing that perfectly complements our non-linear editing options.
Graphics can be delivered seamlessly to your web film and we take charge of the complete sound post-production process, including voice over if required and music.
We can transfer to and from most formats and can handle anything from basic screen grabs to encoding various file types making sure your video podcast and web film play seamlessly when embedded into your website.
We can author your DVD if required or we can just upload your web film or video podcast to our FTP site allowing fast and efficient delivery of any multimedia file. This enables you to view your web film from your desk and authorise any changes easily.
Your final web film is compressed and easy to retrieve in your desired format.
We can also provide up to 500 duplicates of your master DVD to use for promotions, power point presentations, marketing or conference and exhibition viewings.
